Sorry
to you all!
I know I haven’t written in a long time.
One reason is I didn’t know what to say to be honest and then when I was
starting to think about writing on here again, I got in a car accident. I was
going less than the speed limit on a grid road and my car hit a soft spot, spun
me in circles over and over until I went flying into a culvert. The scary part
was I didn’t role, I flipped three times. I had a passenger in my car and I
said over and over in my mind please God keep my passenger safe, I don’t care
about me just please keep her safe, as we were flipping. I hit the front end of
my car and I just felt us spinning in mid air and I hit the front again, and
then again and then finally on all four wheels as the car took down a metal
road sign. The airbags did not deploy. I went into immediate shock. My passenger
was the one who got out of the car and waved down help. The Fire Fighter said she
wasn’t injured; she walked away with nothing… I told him my Dad is going to be
mad at me (for killing my car), he said to me “your Dad won’t be mad, he can
replace the car but he can’t replace you. God kept you safe, if you would have
gone off the road any sooner that road sign would have gone through your
windshield. I’m glad I don’t have to tell your family that their daughter
wouldn’t be coming home.” Well I was put into a neck brace, moved onto a stretcher,
they strapped me in and I was put on a bed with more straps and escorted into
the Ambulance. At that point I realized my parents were there and all I could
say was, “I’m sorry.” After many x-rays and drugs, I was sent home. I went home
with a major concussion, sprained neck, lower back injury, fractured right foot
(got stuck under the gas pedal), it took me five days to come out of shock, and
little bruises here and there, my head was pretty banged up and swollen is some
area’s. This was wake up call number three. I could have died three times, but
guess what?! I’m alive, because there is such a thing called miracles. Have
faith in God and hope within yourself. That’s what kept me safe June 29th,
2012 at 9:45PM.

Your life is much important than anything else. I’m sure your dad won’t get mad at you; it was an accident after all. Something was wrong with your car because the airbags did not deploy! Had it deployed, you wouldn’t be that badly hurt. Anyway, drive more carefully next time.

Oh my goodness Cassandra. I just happened to check my surprised by joy account and came here. So happy you are ok. :)

You should contact the dealer where you bought your car to complain about the failure of the airbags to open. Ronna is right! Your dad will not get mad at you because you are way more important than the car. Tangible things are replaceable, but loved ones are not.

Ya, I know. Almost up to par but my back will never be the same. And Collin we did address the dealership and they said the airbags aren't meant to go off in frontal collision. Does that make sense to you?! No. Won't buy from Hyundia again.
ReplyDeleteIt won’t go off in frontal collision?! The dealership must be going bonkers! What are airbags for, then? You should definitely ask for legal assistance, Cassandra! You cannot let that dealership rip you off of the benefits that you should have from the accident, especially with the major injuries you obtained.

I know how badly you feel because of the accident, Cassandra. But I am sure your Dad will understand. In fact, I know he will even help you claim compensation from your car dealership since the airbags failed to deploy. Don’t fret too much. Right now, you have to be smart, and let the dealership be held liable for your major concussions.
